I stumbled across these words recently and didn’t just read them, I felt them.

What do I love about my work?

Variety. Adventure.
Meeting new people. 

Getting the shot, nailing your brief and delivering a polished end product - these are my joy and motivation.  

Armed with an S-VHS Camcorder, winning a high-school short film competition kicked off my journey behind the lens.

First weddings, then progressing to broadcast news and finally freelance work. Twenty years later and I am well aware of how fortunate I am to have pursued my dream.

My personal career highlights include the Tahiti Billabong Surf Pro, FIFA Women’s World Cup France, Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games, Tokyo Olympic Games and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. 

The real standouts for me, however, are always the people I meet and connect with on the job. Leaving behind the fast-paced world of news gathering has allowed me to spend more time getting to know the humans behind the stories.  

I have swapped the thrill of an adrenaline charged news chase for the buzz of a delighted client when they see their vision come to life. In many ways - much more rewarding.
